[About Yvners Notes: Records of those who love Vietnam]

“Yvners Notes, the meaning behind the name”

The name ‘Yvner’ is a combination of ‘Yeu’ (which means ‘to love’ in Vietnamese), ‘Vietnam’, and the suffix ‘-ers’ for those who share this passion. Together, it embodies our identity as a community of people who love Vietnam.

It has been over 20 years since I first stepped foot in Vietnam. From those very first days, I found myself captivated by the warm smiles of the people, the bustling rhythm of the streets, and the comforting aroma of coffee on a rainy afternoon. Since then, Vietnam has become more than just a place I reside in; it has become the stage of my life where I discover new excitement every single day.

‘Yvners Notes’ is my personal archive—a collection of the landscapes I have gathered over the past two decades and the diverse places I have discovered as a traveler. Through this space, I hope to share the warmth I have found here with those who are traveling in Vietnam or those who, like me, have fallen deeply in love with the country’s unique charm.

To all the ‘Yvners’ out there who cherish every corner of Vietnam, I hope this little note serves as a source of inspiration for you.

Welcome to Yvners Notes—we are so glad you’re here.
